Scholarship Program

The Eric Sears' Memorial scholarship has been established to encourage Carlsbad High School graduates to further their education at any post secondary endeavor. This foundation is funded by family, friends and people who were touched by Eric's life and his life's story.

June 2009 the Eric Sears foundation awarded $6,500 in scholarships to four college bound students: Alex Quaco, Lauren Wickham, Josh Settles, and Cecilia Beauchamp. Best wishes on their upcoming adventures in higher education!

June 2008 the Eric Sears foundation awarded $7,000 to four exceptional student athletes: Kirsten Moore, Megan Reiner, Sophie Hoyle and Courtney Hann. It is a rewarding experience to assist these students as they go forward into their college years. Congratulations to these remarkable young people!

June 2007 four CHS graduating students: Michael Zambon, Lauren Williams, Michael Gero and Kalina Nasim divided the $6,500 awarded by the Eric Sears Foundation. Also for assistance with management of the 5K Run/Walk the foundation donated $2,000 to the Carlsbad Cross Country team. Thanks to all who participated as runners, walkers and volunteers for these are the people who make it possible for the Eric Sears Foundation to award these scholarships to CHS college bound students.
